Connect Your Phone, See Everything

A two-for-one today: connect your phone to Cloze, then open the analytics dashboard and see every call, text, and email you’ve ever sent. It’s a genuine superpower.

  1. Connect your phone (and protect your privacy). It can be a bit of a process, so lean on your agent concierge if you get stuck. You control everything: sync all content except photos (no, your text photos will not show up), narrow it to business segments only, or share nothing. On a team, your texts are blocked from everyone else by default.
  2. Know why it’s worth it. Cloze reads your texts the way it reads your email. Say “I’ll send Kyle properties Tuesday” in a text and Cloze turns it into a to-do on your agenda. Bonus: it stops reminding you to call the person you’re literally on the phone with.
  3. Open Analytics. Scroll down, tap Analytics. Every call, text, and email, as far back as the data goes. Filter it any way you want, and see whether you’re actually talking to your active buyers and sellers enough, or whether your 8x8s are getting ignored.

Today is a very special tool time because today we're talking about two things. That's right, it's a tool time twofer today at your sales meeting. Welcome! As you've probably seen, because you can't help but be enclosed every single morning, every single day, all of the time, there's been a full UI refresh.

It basically functions the same, just a little bit cleaner and a little bit more refined, and there will be a QR code here or there, or there'll be like a ticker or something that'll go across that'll tell you exactly how to use it and what cool new things have changed. And I promise I'll keep it to less than five minutes. Second topic today, I want you to connect your phone to close. It's an absolute superpower and a huge unlock, and I want to talk about the why and how to protect your privacy if you're worried about that.

First things first, and full disclosure, connecting your phone can be a bit of a process. So if you get stuck and need help, don't worry about it. Just ask your agent concierge. They are professionals and they can help you out.

So when it comes to privacy, there's a bunch of different options when you're connecting your phone to close. You can set it so it syncs all content except for photos. Don't worry, no text message photos will sync over to your close. I'm from Vegas.

I've seen some things, but that's not the point. So you have a lot of options. One of them is you can narrow it down by segment. You can say, I only want the content from my text messages to show up in my business segments.

Or you can say, I want to have everything show up. Or you can say, I don't want to have anything show up at all. The nice thing is if you're delegating access to someone else, or if you're on a team and you're sharing contacts back and forth, your text messages by default will be completely blank and blocked out from anybody else. They will just show that Kyle texted or that you texted Kyle, not what exactly was set.

What you do and how you set it up is totally up to you. That's the beauty of having a CRM that's custom to you. But let me tell you the benefit of syncing everything over. Close, just like when it's reading your emails, will read your text messages.

And if you say something like, I'm going to send Kyle properties next Tuesday, or I'll send Sally that cool new listing tomorrow, Close will see that, render it as a to-do and pop it up on your agenda. That's the benefit of having everything sunk over. It also gets pulled into the smart summarize in the timeline. So there's a couple of different places you get some real value out of your Close.

The other benefit of syncing your phone to Close is you're no longer going to get reminded to call somebody that you're currently on the phone with. That's probably the biggest complaint that I hear from advisors. And the easiest way is just connect your Close. But here's where it gets really cool.

Inside Close, there's an analytics button. You scroll down, click the analytics, and it will show you every call, every text, every email, all the communication that you've done throughout all of your existence, or at least as far back as the data goes. Close. If you're anything like my Close, you're going to be in two or three different family chats, and you're going to have like 5,692 different text messages that you're going to be receiving from your family every single day.

But hey, at least you know you're communicating with them. The cool part about analytics is you can see whether you're talking to your active sellers enough, or your active buyers, or whether you've got to reach out to your 8x8s. You can look at it at a glance and see all the way up to as far back as you can go, or all the way down to the individual day. Whatever metrics you care about is in the analytics dashboard inside of Close.

All you got to do is click on it and start scrolling around. You can filter it any way you want. It's really quite powerful and really fun to look at, if I'm being honest. So your assignment.

If your phone is not connected, get it connected. Choose whether you want to share the content or not, and then go into your analytics and see what's happening. See what you've been doing the last 13 weeks. It's a pretty cool feature that I think you're going to get a lot of value out of.
