E-Mail Templates

If you write an email more than twice, it should be a template.

Tool Time — E-Mail Templates

Write It Once, Send It Forever

Two weeks on the stuff coming into your inbox. Now the stuff going out. My rule: if I have to write an email more than twice, it becomes a template. And the best part is it’s free.

  1. Know your three. You already have three emails living in the back of your head. “Thanks, your showing’s confirmed.” “It’s been a pleasure, please leave me a review.” Whatever you’ve typed more than twice, that’s a template waiting to happen.
  2. Build it once, make it perfect. Templates live in Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and Cloze. Since you only build it one time, make it beautiful and exactly how you want to say it, so you’re not composing at 9pm in a parking lot between showings.
  3. Build it in whatever you use. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Cloze — the idea’s the same everywhere: build it once, reuse it forever. The first time one saves you real time, you’ll build a hundred and go insane, just like me.

Your assignment this week: Pick one of those emails you write constantly and turn it into a template.

The last two weeks, we've gone over everything about coming into your inbox. This week, we're going to cover the stuff going out. Because believe it or not, you can save time, money, and effort doing it that way too. Hi, I'm Kyle, and this is Tool Time.

So I have a rule. My rule is if I have to write an email more than twice, it becomes a template. Because if I have to write an email more than twice, I get frustrated having to do it every time and there will be one time that is absolutely awesome and it's the one time that I wish that I had used for all my other templates. So that's what we're going to talk about today.

Best news, it's free. So there will be another QR code that you can scan so you can log in and watch me build these in person for both Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and of course, Close. Because they live in all of those places. The best part about templates is you only have to make them one time.

You can make them beautiful. You can make them perfect and exactly how you want to say it. So you're not having to remember what you want to say in that 9pm email you're sending in the parking lot in between showings. So because we're going to do a video on all this and how to do it easily, we're not going to have to go into any more details.

The whole idea is you've sent an email like, thanks so much. Your showing is confirmed or it's been a pleasure working with you. Please be sure to give me a review. Whatever email you've sent more than twice, you already know three of them in the back of your head.

Your assignment this week is to pick one of those emails, go watch my video on how to do it and then build it into a template. I promise you the first time you use one of your templates, it will save you so much time that you'll build out a hundred of them and you'll be insane just like me. Thanks so much for coming. Have a great week.

We'll see you next time.
