Fulfilling Forgotten Tasks

Cloze reads your emails and reminds you to do what you promised.

Tool Time — Fulfilling Forgotten Tasks

Cloze Is Always Listening

Raise your hand if you’ve ever forgotten to email someone after you said you would. Yeah, me too. Confession’s good for the soul. Today, my favorite thing Cloze does: it never forgets for you. (Special guest: my daughter Riley, dressed as her dream job, ice cream salesman.)

  1. Know that Cloze reads your email. Promise someone “I’ll call you Tuesday” or “I’ll send properties next week,” and Cloze sees it, turns it into a to-do, and drops it on your agenda that day. It’s called a smart action item, it’s built into everybody’s Cloze, and it works about 90% of the time.
  2. Force one when it absolutely can’t slip. For the FedEx-absolutely-positively-overnight stuff, don’t leave it to chance. Tap the compose button, top right, and hit Add To-Do. Now it’s locked in.
  3. Check your email is connected. This whole thing only works if your email’s plugged in. It better be by now, we’ve been at this 25 weeks. If a task you expected doesn’t show up, tell me, I want to know too.

Your assignment this week: Email someone that you’ll do something. Then, on the day, open your agenda and watch the task be waiting for you.

Good morning, everybody. It's a very special Tool Time. I'd like to introduce you to my most favorite person in the entire world. This is my daughter, Riley.

Say hi. Riley is here because she was at Boys and Girls Club and they closed a little early today, but she's dressed up as her dream job, which is to be a ice cream salesman because she wants to make everyone happy and make a million dollars. And I think that's just the best idea ever. Love you.

Okay. So today for Tool Time, here's my question. Raise your hand if you have ever forgotten to email somebody after you said you'd do it. I know I have.

It's okay. Confession is good for the soul, as Thomas likes to say. So now that you're all just look around and see how many people have done that, it's okay. We can put our hands down.

It's all right. We can relax now. I appreciate y'all being honest. Today, we're going to talk about how clothes can help you from that happening ever again.

Hi, I'm Kyle. This is Riley. And this is Tool Time. So the last few weeks, we got your inbox handled.

We declared bankruptcy. We set up templates. We fixed all the issues that you were having with your email inbox. This week, we're going to talk about my most favorite part about clothes.

And my most favorite part about clothes is it is always listening and always watching. Did you know that clothes is constantly reading your emails? And if you make a promise like, I'll call you on Tuesday, Kyle, or I'll be sure to send you some properties next week, clothes will see that and it'll make it to do. And on that particular day, it'll show up on your agenda to remind you to do that thing.

Okay. Yeah, it's an app. Yeah. It's called a smart action item.

And it's something that's built into everybody's clothes. You have it. I have it. Everybody has it.

And it is a super cool thing when it happens. And it happens like 90% of the time. They've done studies, you know, 60% of the time, it works every time. That doesn't make sense.

So if you ever have something that you absolutely positively cannot forget to do, like, you know, FedEx absolutely positively delivering tomorrow, here's what you're going to do. You're going to put a to do into your clothes by clicking the little compose button in the top right corner and clicking add to do. So when clothes reads your email, it's called a smart action item. So it works like as an assistant instead of a to do list that you have to put in, it's going to read it and decide it needs to remind you to do it.

That's one of the cool things about clothes. It's always working in the background to make your life just a little bit better. Go check to make sure that your email is connected better be. And if it's not connected, scan a little QR code, it'll be a little how to on how to connect it.

But seriously, it better be by now. Come on, we've been doing this for like 25 weeks now. Take a look at your agenda, just like you're doing every day, pull it up every single day and look at your agenda and you'll see a little task that clothes is reminding you to do from an email you sent to somebody at some time. And if it doesn't, let me know.

I want to know that too. So your assignment this week is to send an email to somebody saying you're going to do something, whether it's send an email, call, send properties, whatever. And then on the day it happens, I want you to look at your clothes on your agenda and see that task is there for you automatically. Thanks so much for coming.

Hope you have a great week.
