Contacts to Classify

How to find exactly who you need to work on today.

Tool Time — Contacts to Classify

Who Do I Work On Today?

You’re organizing five contacts a day like a champ. The question I keep getting is: how do I know which ones? Cloze makes it stupid easy.

  1. Find who’s missing info. Open People, and in the search bar type missing:email or missing:phone. The list filters to everyone lacking that piece. Scroll, call, or email: “Hey, I need your address.” Get what you’re missing.
  2. Be willing to let go. If you’re not willing to pick up the phone and chase it, let them go. If you won’t be their agent, somebody else will. (Yeah, that one stings a little.)
  3. Find who you’ve never touched. Top of Cloze, tap the filter button and choose Contacts to Classify. It sorts everyone you haven’t talked to, tagged, or organized. Go one by one: keep and update, or let go.

Your assignment this week: Jump in and classify 5, 10, or 25 people, depending how motivated you are. Keep the keepers, release the rest.

All right, you guys have all been doing a great job of organizing your contacts because you've been logging into Close every day and organizing the five you haven't organized yesterday. But I have a common question for you that I'm going to answer today, and that's how to find out who you need to do today. My name is Kyle, and this is Tool Time. All right, so the good thing is Close makes it super easy.

All you have to do is open it up, go to People, and at the top of the People list in your search bar, search missing colon email or missing colon email. It's really that easy, and then the list will filter by all the people that don't have that kind of information. So that way you can do one of three things. You can start scrolling through, click on somebody, and pick up the phone and call them, or send them a nice email and say, Hey, I need your phone number, or hey, I need your address.

Whatever you're looking for, that's how you're going to get it. And if you're not willing to pick up the phone and call them, let them go. If you're not willing to be their agent, somebody else is going to. Ooh, that one stung a little, huh?

Next question I get a lot is, how do I know who I haven't touched at all? Well, that one's even easier. At the top of Close, there's a little filter button. You click the filter button, and you look for contacts to classify.

There'll be a nice little video in front of my face right now showing you how to do it. But it's very easy to do. You click contacts to classify, and it'll sort everybody that you haven't talked to or touched or tagged or organized or anything. And then you just go through one by one and do the thing.

You either decide to keep them and update them, or you decide to let them go. So that's it. Those are your assignments today. Jump in to Close.

Organize 5 to 10 to 25 people, depending upon how motivated you are. And have a great day. Thanks so much. We'll see you next week.
